ALBION, Mich. — The Albion men's lacrosse team took care of business and beat North Central, 13-6, at Alumni Field.
The Britons rattled off the first five goals of the game in the opening 5:49 from
Cal Stearns,
Luke Schuemann,
TJ Antonino (2) and
Logan Mozingo.
North Central notched the next two scores, but Schuemann added one more to make it 6-2 at the end of the first.
Five more consecutive scores came for the Britons to open the second courtesy of Stearns,
Carson Farkas (2),
Pat Dyer and Antonino to take an 11-2 advantage. The Cardinals proceeded to score two more and make it 11-4 at the intermission.
Both teams scored a goal each in the third and fourth quarters. Farkas found twine in the third, and Farkas notched a man-up goal in the fourth.
The Britons outshot the Cardinals, 52-31, and forced 29 turnovers. Farkas (4) and Antonino (3) were the scoring leaders for Albion, while
Herby Basil posted five caused turnovers.
