ELMHURST, Ill. — The Albion men's lacrosse team traveled to the suburbs of Chicago for their final nonconference game before MIAA play begins, losing to Elmhurst 14-7.
The Bluejays rattled off the game's first four goals and never looked back. Albion's lone score in the first came on a
TJ Antonino goal with 6:17 left in the period.
Logan Mozingo got the Britons to within two in the second, but Elmhurst secured five of the next seven goals to take a 9-4 lead at the half.
Cal Stearns notched both of the Britons' scores in the stanza.
The Bluejays found twine three times in the third, with two coming on man-up opportunities to take a 12-4 advantage. The Britons outscored Elmhurst, 3-2, in the fourth with goals coming from
Luke Schuemann and Stearns (2).
Stearns scored four goals, while
Luke Szymanski notched nine saves in his three quarters in net.
