HOLLAND, Mich. — The Albion women's lacrosse team fell to Hope, 19-4, in a road matchup with the Flying Dutch who are tied for first in the MIAA standings.
Hope got off to a hot start and never looked back, scoring nine goals in the first period. They also added three more in the second to take a 12-0 advantage into the locker room.
The Flying Dutch would tally six more scores before Albion got their first from
Logan Hutchinson with 2:42 left in the third.
Hope scored just over a minute into the fourth, but the Britons would rattle off the game's final three goals from
Lauren Thomas,
Abbey Scott and Hutchinson.
Albion committed 19 turnovers and were outshot 35-17.
Nicole Miller made nine saves in net for the Britons as well.
