ALBION, Mich. — The Albion baseball team dropped a single game to Olivet, 6-0, at Champions Stadium.
In a contest rescheduled due to poor field conditions from two days prior, the Comets got on the board first in the opening frame on a sacrifice fly.
Two more came for Olivet in the fifth on a fielder's choice to take a 3-0 lead. In the eighth, the Comets plated three on a two-run double and sacrifice fly.
Olivet's Bryan Carney limited any threats from the Britons on the mound, as he pitched eight innings allowing two hits, three walks and striking out 18 batters on 129 pitches.
Daniel Bruzdewicz had an overall solid day on the mound for the Britons, throwing seven innings while allowing four hits, three runs, three walks and striking out seven in the loss.
Miles Frank pitched the game's final two frames.
