Wytse Molenaar Selected as Regional Chair of National Ranking Committee

Albion, Mich. – Albion College Head Men's Soccer Coach Wytse Molenaar has been selected as the chair of the NCAA Regional Rankings Committee for Region VIII. With his selection, Molenaar will now serve as a member of the NCAA Men's Soccer National Ranking Committee.

Molenaar previously served as a member of the Region VIII Regional Rankings Committee before being selected to serve as chair for the next four years.

In addition to his responsibilities with the regional and national ranking committees, Molenaar will also assist with the NCAA Men's Soccer Championship site selection and review process. Earlier this September, Molenaar participated in a site review for the 2027 NCAA Men's Soccer Final Four in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, which has officially been selected as the host site.

As part of the site review process, Molenaar evaluated facilities, practice sites, lodging and other resources to ensure the area could accommodate an NCAA Championship event. The group also evaluates potential host institutions and their ability to provide the necessary facilities and resources to host NCAA championship events, including situations in which an institution may be considered to host both the men's and women's championships.

Molenaar will continue to assist with the site selection and review process for future NCAA Men's Soccer Championships, including the 2028 and 2029 championships.

Beginning this postseason, Molenaar will also be on site for the NCAA Men's Soccer Final Four and National Championship as part of his national committee responsibilities. The 2026 championship is scheduled to take place in Columbus, Ohio, while the 2027 championship will be held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Molenaar will continue to attend the championships in 2028 and 2029, with those host locations to be announced.
