Biography

2012: Became Albion’s regular in right field in the middle of the second league series...Hit .250 (14-56) with two doubles, a triple, a homerun, and nine RBI in 23 league games...His sixth-inning homerun down the right field line gave Albion a 5-4 lead in the second game of the home twinbill...Placed on the MIAA’s Academic Honor Roll, an award reserved for scholar-athletes who achieve a 3.5 GPA in both semesters of the academic year.

2011: Collected multi-hit games in the March 26 nightcap with Trine and the first game of the May 9 date with Hope.

2010: The starter in right field in 34 games...Executed a team-best seven sacrifice hits and one sacrifice fly...Struck out just six times in 111 at-bats...Collected two hits in seven games, drving in two runs in the nightcap at Calvin and in game two of the home twinbill with Kalamazoo...Slugged two doubles in a spring break game against Wentworth and in the first game at Kalamazoo...His triple down the right field line plated two runs in the first game of a home doubleheader with Olivet...Blasted his only homerun in first game of home doubleheader with Trine.

Before Albion: A two-time all-Macomb County performer at Macomb Dakota High School…First team all-MAC Red Division in his senior season…Also a two-time all-Macomb County soccer player…Winner of the Pinnacle Award and graduated with Cum Laude.

Personal: An economics & management major with an emphasis in finance...Enjoys listening to music and reading sports biographies…Son of Thomas and Debra Mazza.
