Brayden Raether enters his first season as a volunteer assistant coach at Albion in 2026.
Raether is no stranger to Albion, having competed for the Britons from 2022-25 as a starting pitcher.
In 57 career games (32 starts), Raether pitched in 219 innings, struck out 189 batters and posted four saves.
He was named second-team All-MIAA in 2023 after pitching in a career-high 63.2 innings while registering a career-best 55 strikeouts and a 2.97 ERA during conference play.
As a freshman in 2022, Raether earned MIAA Pitcher of the Week honors twice.
A standout student, Raether earned CSC Academic All-District in 2024 and 2025 and was a four-year member of the MIAA Honor Roll.
Raether graduated from Albion in 2025 with a bachelor’s in economics & management and communications. He sported a 3.84 GPA and graduated manga cum laude while being an executive board member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee and a member of the DECA Business Club.
The Goodrich, Mich. native graduated from Goodrich High School in 2021 where he earned letters in baseball and soccer while sporting a 4.0 GPA. As a senior, Raether received first-team all-conference and all-district honors while being a team captain.
Since 2024, Raether has been a coach for USA Prime based in Waterford, Mich., and is currently a substitute teacher in the Carman Ainsworth school district near Flint.
