Biography

2019: Achieved distinction on the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Academic Honor Roll...Made 12 appearances on the mound, starting the second game of the MIAA doubleheader at Hope...Threw four scoreless innings to chalk up the save in the second game of the home doubleheader vs. Olivet (one hit, two walks, three strikeouts)...Threw two scoreless innings to gain credit for the victory in the second game of the doubleheader at Calvin (two hits, a walk, two strikeouts).

2017: Threw 1.1 innings of relief (unearned run, one hit, one walk, one strikeout) to get credit for the victory over Penn State-Abington, his first at the collegiate level. 

Prior to Albion: Achieved honorable mention status in baseball and was a state finalist in the 200 medley relay at Brighton High School...A three-time recipient of the athletic department's academic excellence award, a member of the Top Dawg Leadership Program, and the baseball representative to the Kensington Lakes Activities Association.

Personal: An economics and management major and communication studies minor who is a member of Albion's Carl A. Gerstacker Institute for Business and Management...Lists golfing and movies as hobbies...Son of Paul and Cindy Kauff.
