A biology major with a minor in management who said the small size of Albion reminded him of home…A three-time all-state award winner who slugged 28 doubles during the 2018 season, second-most on the Michigan High School Athletic Association’s single-season list…New Lothrop won four district championships, two regional championships and was the 2016 Division 3 state runner-up during his career…Also played for the Motor City Baseball Club…An Academic all-State award winner who was listed on the honor roll and inducted into the National Honor Society…A member of the FFA and student council…Community service work included Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Flint and Special Olympics…Enjoys hunting, fishing, camping and animals…Son of Mike and Kenda Besant.
