D.J. Rehberg enters his 28th season as defensive line coach and 30th overall at Albion in 2025.
He has spent his entire coaching career with the Britons.
Rehberg has coached some of the most accomplished defensive linemen in program history. He has mentored three All-Americans, five D3Football.com All-Region selections, four MIAA Defensive MVPs, 22 first-team and 18 second-team All-MIAA honorees.
He has also been on the coaching staff for 10 MIAA title-winning teams, including seven NCAA playoff appearances.
In 2024, Rehberg helped guide Michael Pruchnic to third-team All-Region and first-team All-MIAA honors after racking up 26 tackles, including 6.5 for a loss.
Rehberg coached Nick Fannon to one of the best two-year stretches of any defensive lineman in Albion history. In 2023, the second-team All-American and MIAA Defensive MVP tallied 53 tackles, including 20.5 TFL and 12.5 sacks.
The Dundee native was a four-year starter for the Britons from 1992 to 1995. He earned first team All-MIAA honors in 1993 and 1994, and second team recognition in 1995. During Rehberg's playing career the Britons compiled a 39-3 record, winning four MIAA championships and the 1994 NCAA Division III National Championship. He was also tabbed the 1995 Albion College Defensive Lineman of the Year.
Rehberg also serves as Albion's assistant strength coach and IM director.
Rehberg and his wife Jeannine, have a daughter, Jesse, who is an undergraduate at the University of Michigan and a son, Isaac, who is a starting defensive lineman for the Britons.
