  • Earned four letters in football at Sandusky High School for coach Ryan Palmer
  • Two-time first-team All-Big Thumb Conference offensive player and three-time second-team All-BTC selection as a defensive player
  • Team captain as a senior
  • Also lettered in basketball, baseball and track & field
  • Earned first-team all-district honors as a first baseman in baseball and was also a three-time All-BTC selection as well as an all-region and academic all-district selection
  • Won a league championship in shot put and was also named All-BTC
