Joining the program in Fall 2021 as a volunteer, Spencer joined the lacrosse staff full time in January of 2022. Spencer lives in Northville, Mich. with wife Tami and three daughters. He played collegiate lacrosse for VMI and was elected captain his senior year. Post graduation he worked for the English Lacrosse Union where he coached and played for Boardman and Eccles lacrosse club in Manchester England. He returned to the states and spent two seasons as VMI's offensive coordinator under Coach Doug Bartlett. While coaching at VMI he played professional lacrosse in the Major Indoor lacrosse league for the expansion team, Charlotte Cobras. Spencer holds the VMI single season scoring record for a midfielder and has over 35 years of lacrosse playing and coaching experience. While focusing on a career in IT Spencer remained tied to the game of lacrosse, playing and coaching for several clubs in the Detroit area and most recently coached as an assistant for Northville Highschool JV. "We are very excited to bring Spencer Gill onto our staff in a full time capacity. Spencer has been around the game for a long time and we have shared friendships in the lacrosse community. Spencer has one of the most well rounded lacrosse IQ's in the greater metro Detroit area, and I am looking forward to seeing how he can help us shape our group in the 2022 season."
