Box Score ALBION, Mich. – Albion College didn't have much trouble picking up its 10th win in a row Wednesday night. The Britons scored the first 10 points of the game and never looked back in scoring a 62-43 victory over Kalamazoo College in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association women's basketball action inside Kresge Gymnasium.
Albion completed the first half of league play with a 6-2 record, but next up for the Britons are road tests against Hope College and Calvin College.
Lauren Epple (Williamston) and Patty Rewa (Greenville) combined to score the first 10 points. Anne Colonius sank a 3-point basket and Holly Cooperrider added an old-fashioned three-point play to trim the margin to four, but Albion answered with seven points to boost the lead to double-digits.
Albion held a 39-19 lead at halftime and it led by as many as 24 in the second half.
Epple knocked down 6-of-8 shots from the floor to finish with a career-high 16 points. Rewa and Nicole Dennis (St. Clair Shores/Lakeview) added 14 and 12, respectively.
