Box Score KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Albion College appeared to be on its way to forcing a fourth set against Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rival Kalamazoo College Saturday, but the Britons were unable to close out the third set. Kalamazoo won the contest by scores of 25-16, 25-14, 25-23.
Albion scored 10 of the first 11 points in the third set. Halle Thom served six points with an ace and two kills from Caitlin McClorey. Kayela Gilbert added an ace of her own. McClorey knocked down another kill with Thom serving as Albion extended the margin to 20-10.
Kalamazoo chipped away at the Albion lead with a couple of three-point runs. Nya Greenstone drove kills on four of the final seven points of the match. She led all players with 11 kills.
Jalyn Ingalls and Thom led the Britons with seven kills apiece. Ingalls added a pair of block assists.
Albion will complete the season with three matches against MIAA rival next week. The Britons host Olivet College Wednesday, travel to Alma College Friday, and host Calvin College Saturday.
