Box Score

ANGOLA, Ind. – Patty Rewa (Greenville) and Madeline Winters (Ann Arbor/Saline) occupied the post Saturday as Albion College gained its 16th win of the season with a 58-44 victory over Trine University.

Rewa scored nine of Albion's first 12 points. She hit 4-of-5 shots from the floor and a free throw as the Britons led 12-8 7 ½ minutes into the contest.

Winters came off the bench and promptly produced an old-fashioned three-point play as Albion extended the margin to 17-12. Rewa tacked on two more layups and a free throw as Albion opened a 25-13 lead and it held a double-figure lead for most of the balance of the day.

Albion led by as many as 22 in the second half before settling for the 14-point victory.

Rewa produced her 11th double-double of the season with 24 points and 13 rebounds. She scored on 8-of-15 shots from the floor and 8-of-9 from the line to finish with her seventh 20-point game of the season.

Winters added eight points in 14 minutes on the court. She was 2-of-4 from the floor and 4-of-6 from the line.

Brett de Bear (Plymouth/Salem) and Taylor Nugent (Honor/Benzie Central) contributed seven points apiece to lead the backcourt.
