Box Score KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Albion College hit 27 percent of its shots from the field in the first half of its Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association game at Kalamazoo College, but it still led 27-11 at halftime. Albion warmed to 45 percent in the second half and it pulled away for a 63-39 victory over the Hornets.
Albion never trailed as Lauren Epple (Williamston) knocked down a 3-point shot on the second possession. Taylor Nugent (Honor/Benzie Central) tacked on a 3-point shot and Patty Rewa (Greenville) contributed a pair of free throws as Albion built an 8-2 lead. Nugent hit two more baskets from long range as Albion extended the margin to 16-4 7 ½ minutes into the game.
Albion led by as many as 20 in the first half as a Rewa basket made the score 27-7 with 4:31 to play. Albion settled for a 27-11 lead at halftime.

Rewa collected 18 points to move into sixth place on Albion's all-time scoring ladder. Nugent posted her first career double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds and Nicole Dennis (St. Clair Shores/Lakeview) scored in double figures with 13.
Albion completes the regular season at 3 p.m. Saturday with a home game against Olivet College. The three Briton seniors – Lisa Davignon (Troy/Avondale), Dennis, and Rewa – will be honored prior to the game.
