ADRIAN, Mich. – Tied at 15 as it tried to extend its match against Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rival Adrian College, Albion College was unable to return serves on consecutive points and that opened the door for the Bulldogs to complete the sweep of the volleyball match by scores of 25-18, 25-11, 25-20.

Adrian jumped out to a 10-2 lead in the first set and a 9-2 edge in the second.

Adrian led 8-3 in the third when the Britons rallied for four points to trim the deficit to a single point. Jalyn Ingalls got a sideout for the Britons with a kill and Halle Thom followed by terminating a point. Adrian errors on the next two points drew the Britons close to forging a tie.

Albion did forge a tie at 13 when Kristin Yeager recorded a kill off a pass from Paxton Mueller. The Britons fell behind 18-15, however, and Adrian secured the set and match.

Thom hit .238 with seven kills in 21 attacks, and Ingalls produced five kills and two block assists.

Albion returns home at 7 p.m. Friday to challenge MIAA rival Kalamazoo College.
