MARSHALL – Katrina Tooker came within a stroke of matching her collegiate-best score Thursday to lead the Albion College women's golf team in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association women's golf jamboree played at The Medalist Golf Club.

A first-year student from Allegan, Tooker needed 48 strokes to complete each half of the course. Her best score of the season remains the 95 she produced in the Aquinas Classic.

Celine McClimans (97), Christine Briden (100), and Candace Myers (104) also contributed to Albion's 397 total. Albion finished seventh in the team standings.

Theresa Damico produced a MIAA course-record 72 as Olivet College finished atop the team standings with a 324 total.

Alma College will host the league's second jamboree Saturday at the Pine River Country Club.
