GRAND RAPIDS – Joe Broekhuizen scored twice early in the second half to help Calvin College secure a 7-1 victory over Albion College in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association men's soccer contest.

Calvin took the lead in the seventh minute as Ben Honeycutt finished a crossing pass from Dan Nederhoed. Nick Holtrop and Taylor Pruis also scored for the Knights in the opening 45 minutes. Holtrop assisted on Broekhuizen's first goal of the second half.

Mike Tolkacz scored his first goal of the season for Albion.

Albion placed five of its eight shots on goal. Tolkacz and Caio Orofino were credited with two shots each.
