Box Score 2 COLUMBUS, Ohio – It was a split decision for the Albion College volleyball team on the first day of the Capital University Tournament. The Britons rallied for a five-set (25-14, 23-25, 23-25, 26-24, 15-10) victory over Allegheny (Pa.) College and lost to Capital in four sets (25-23, 17-25, 15-25, 18-25).
Jalyn Ingalls and Halle Thom reached double figures in kills in both contests. Ingalls produced 30 kills on the day, including 20 in the victory over Allegheny. Thom finished the day with 32 kills, including a team-high 14 against Capital. Thom produced a double-double of 18 kills and 28 digs against Allegheny.
Caitlin McClorey produced five blocks against Allegheny.
Albion will square off against a pair of teams from the Ohio Athletic Conference – Otterbein and John Carroll – in Saturday action.
