COLUMBUS, Ohio – Albion College dropped a pair of non-league volleyball matches on the second day of the Capital University Tournament. John Carroll University defeated Albion in three sets (25-15, 25-13, 25-13). Albion pushed 13^th-ranked Otterbein University to four sets (25-16, 25-20, 20-25, 27-25).

Lauren DeLuyck, Jalyn Ingalls, and Halle Thom all produced four kills against John Carroll.

Thom added nine kills and DeLuyck finished with eight against Otterbein. Kayela Gilbert dished out 30 assists. Haley Gitre and Jessica Weiler led the defensive effort with 15 and 13 disg, respectively.

Albion returns to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association action Tuesday at Calvin College.
