ALBION, Mich. – Jonathan Gurnee, Eric Guindi, Tucker Blake and Aaron Stanley won their singles matches Saturday, but it was not enough to help Albion College overcome a 3-0 deficit to Wabash College in a non-league men's tennis match. Wabash used its doubles advantage to hang on for a 5-4 win over the Britons.
Gurnee rallied from a set down to win the No. 1 singles match. Albion's other three singles wins were in straight sets.
Albion's best chances to pick up the clinching point were No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles.
