Manchester, Ind. - The Albion Men's Tennis Team opened their season with a 7-0 victory at Manchester. The Britons swept all six individual matches, as well as the three double's matches. 

At No. 1 doubles, Brady Pettit and Jacob Plaskewicz defeated Manchester's Andrew Schrier and Anthony Bau, 6-3. Connor Schultz and Malcolm Johnson followed with a 6-1 victory at No. 2 doubles over Henry Blakley and Cole Gerardot, while Ryan McKendry and Jacob Kubiak completed the doubles sweep with a 6-1 win at No. 3 over Milo Hupp and Jonah Fourman.

The Britons carried that momentum into singles play, winning all six matches.

At No. 1 singles, Pettit battled back after dropping the first set to Blakley, 6-1, to win the second set, 6-3, before taking the match in a 10-5 tiebreaker.

Schultz earned a straight-set victory at No. 2 singles, defeating Bau, 7-5, 6-2. Johnson cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Schrier at No. 3, while Plaskewicz posted an identical 6-0, 6-0 win over Gerardot at No. 4.

At No. 5 singles, Kubiak defeated Fourman, 6-1, 6-1, and Srivanth Senthil closed out the singles sweep with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Hupp at No. 6.

"Both of our teams started their fall season off on a strong note today. As a coach, it's always great to get things rolling on the year and see what your teams are made of, and they didn't disappoint today! Now we keep working to prep for our home opener weekend coming up. Go Brits!" said Head Coach Austin Hunt when asked how his team performed today. 

The Britons return to action on Saturday September 19th, as the host a double's tournament.
