Albion, Mich. - The Albion Tennis program team hosted a doubles tournament and the Men's Tennis team placed first in both the A and B Draw and the Women's Tennis team placed third in the A Draw and fourth in the B Draw.
Men's Draw A:
Brady Pettit and Jacon Plaskewicz won the Draw A bracket. They beat McNew/Stack from Alma 6-0 to advance and they then beat Nicklas/Hill from SAU 6-3 to head to the championship. They would then beat Koop/Morales from SAU 6-2 to take the win in the Draw A.
Connor Schultz and
Malcolm Johnson would place third in the Draw A bracket. They beat Jonas/Luedeman from Alma 6-1. They would lose to Koop/Morales 6-4 to go and compete for 3rd. They would beat Nicklas/Hill 7-6(1) to place third.
Jacon Kubiak and
Ryan McKendry would place sixth in the Draw A bracket. They dropped their opening set vs Nicklas/Hill 7-5. They would bounce back and beat McNew/Stack 7-6(4) to go on and play for fifth. They would drop that set to Jonas/Luedeman 6-1 and place sixth.
Men's Draw B:
Alex Beard and
Mason Mojica won the Draw B bracket. They beat Brege/Cox from Olivet 6-0 to advance and they would then beat Schroder/Valentine from SAU 6-4 to head to the championship. They would beat teammates Senthil and McCollum 6-1 to take first.
Sri Senthil and
Noah McCollum would beat Hickey/Hickey from Alma 6-1 and would then beat Brown/Wolfe from Olivet 7-6(4) to head to the championship to face their teammates. They would fall in the championship and take second.
Women's Draw A:
Abbie Hubbard and
Paityn Chant placed third in the Draw A bracket. They beat Lacher/Alli from Alma 7-6(4) to advance, but they would then fall 6-1 to Page/Codita from SAU. They would face teammates
Ada Feasby and
Jennah Lattig for third and would win 6-4 to place third.
Feasby and Lattig would beat Wallstorm/Schmidtt from SAU 6-3 to advance where they would then fall to Kushner/Wronikowski from Alma 6-2. They would fall in the third place game and place fourth.
Women's Draw B:
Gabby Farnese and
Karina Nigg would place fourth in the Draw B brakcet. They would beat Hall/Sheldon from Alma 7-5 to advance but they would then fall 6-3 to Stall/Mott from SAU. They would battle for third but fall to Troost.Laraichi from Alma 6-1 to place fourth.
Women's Draw C:
The C Draw Bracket would be a tri match.
Gabriella Davis and
Grace Meade would go 1-1 in this bracket. They would beat Sneath/Brown from Alma 6-3 and would fall 4-6 to Keatley/Otis from SAU.

The Britons Tennis Team returns to action Sunday Sept 20 as they host Franklin.
