Box Score HOLLAND, Mich. – Albion College caught Hope College at the wrong time on the schedule. The Flying Dutchmen, humbled by a 5-1 loss to archrival Calvin College a week ago, got two goals from Logan Sikkenga in the first 24 ½ minutes of the first half and sailed to a 3-1 victory over the Britons in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association men's soccer action.
Jason Muller, who assisted on Sikkenga's first goal, tacked on a goal in the 64th minute.
Mike Tolkacz scored for Albion. He collected his first goal of the season, assisted by Christopher Armstrong, in the 66th minute.
Hope finished the contest with a 29-12 advantage in shots. First-year players Bobby Budlong and Andrew Prince combined to rip seven shots for Albion.
The loss puts the pressure on Albion to get a positive result out of its Saturday contest at Kalamazoo College. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m.
