WOOSTER, Ohio – Lauren Outwater knocked down 17 kills, the second-most for a match in her career, and Stephanie Thurner and Jessica Konieczny also reached double figures in kills, but their offense wasn't enough in Albion's four-set loss at Wooster.

The teams split the first two sets, but Wooster edged Albion in the final two, 29-27 and 28-26, to finish the match.

Albion hit the ball better than it had in any match this season, finishing with a .213 hitting percentage. The Britons' 56 kills matched the season-high it set in a five-set loss to Kalamazoo in September.

Thurner produced 14 kills and Konieczny had 10.

Albion will travel to Oberlin College Saturday for a triangular with the Yeowomen and Wilmington College. The first serve of the Albion-Oberlin contest is set for 11 a.m.
