WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – Kaitlyn Downey drove in three runs in Albion College's 6-2 loss to Waynesburg College and Monica Brugnoni produced a pair of RBI singles in an 8-4 loss to Defiance College as the softball team dropped to 0-4 on its spring break trip.

Downey's hit forged a 3-3 tie with Waynesburg in the fifth inning. Waynesburg responded with two runs in the sixth and an insurance run in the seventh.

Erica Wagner produced three hits and scored three runs against Defiance.

Albion's spring trip continues Wednesday with games against Geneva and the College of Staten Island at the Auburndale Softball Complex. Bobby Lee, Albion's director of news & sports information, will be on hand for the play-by-play of the internet broadcast of both games.
