LIVONIA, Mich. – Albion College's northern debut was spoiled by 8-0 and 12-4 losses to Madonna University in non-league softball action.

Monica Brugnoni produced a pair of RBI singles in game two. Lauren Oppliger slugged a RBI double and Alex Yaw followed with a RBI single as Albion scored three times in the sixth inning.

Kaitlyn Downey collected Albion's only hit in game one.

Albion is scheduled to begin its Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association doubleheader with an April 1 doubleheader against Alma College.
