ANGOLA, Ind. – Albion College braved difficult conditions to turn in a season-low 354 team score in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association women's golf jamboree at the Zollner Golf Course.
Prior to Saturday, Albion's previous season-best was a 356 in the MIAA Jamboree at Kalamazoo.
Celine McClimans achieved a season-best round of 86.
First-year player Megan Moco finished her round in 87 strokes, two off the season best she set at Kalamazoo, and Katrina Tooker's score of 88 was one off her season best at Kalamazoo.
Madison Kroetsch completed Albion's score with a round of 93.
Trine University edged Saint Mary's College in the race for the low team score. Trine finished the day with a 337 score, one stroke better than Saint Mary's. Olivet College was third at 340, followed by Hope College at 345.
MIAA teams will meet at the Bedford Valley Country Club in Battle Creek Oct. 9-10 for the final two rounds of the fall season.
