BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – First-year golfer Megan Moco shot a career-best 83 to help Albion College achieve its best score of the season in the first round of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association's season-ending women's golf event.
Moco's previous best was an 85 in the first MIAA Jamboree of the season at The Medalist Golf Club.
Madison Kroetsch (87), CelineMcClimans (91) and Christina Briden (91) contributed their scores to Albion's season-best 352 total. Saint Mary's College and Hope College had the low rounds of the day at 325, followed by Olivet College at 328 and Trine University at 330.
The players will return to the Bedford Valley Golf Club Saturday morning for the second round.
