Box Score ALBION, Mich. – Albion College did not have a player score in double figures for the second consecutive game. The result, unfortunately, was not similar to the one the Britons experienced in a three-point victory over Alma College last Saturday.
Trine University held Albion to its lowest offensive output of the season in handing the Britons a 64-42 setback at Kresge Gymnasium.
The Britons shot 19 percent (5-of-26) in facing a 41-14 deficit at halftime. Albion improved to 31 percent in the second half, but it never got within 20 points.
Mikaela Bromley produced nine points for the Britons and Erin Nelson finished with eight.
Trine's Whitney Shaffer knocked down 7-of-10 shots, including four from 3-point range, to lead all players with 18 points. Nikky Moan chipped in with 12.
Next up for Albion is a home date against Hope College. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
