ALBION, Mich. – Josh McGarry pulled out a tiebreaker to win the No. 3 singles match in Albion College's 6-3 loss to Lawrence Tech in non-league men's tennis action.
McGarry split sets with Mason Wenzel and won the decisive tiebreaker, 10-7.
Peter Pappas, playing No. 2 singles, was the only other Briton to win a set.
Albion led 2-0 before the match even started as Lawrence Tech did not have enough players to fill the lineup. The Britons scored points by default at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles.
Albion has another home match Saturday against Wittenberg (Ohio) University.
