GAMBIER, Ohio – Albion College lost a pair of non-league matches on the first night of the Kenyon College Invitational.

Otterbein defeated Albion 25-23, 25-19, 25-14

Albion hit .250 (12 kills and 1 error in 44 attacks) in the first set, but the hitting percentage dropped to .062 in the second set and .108 in the third set.

Kelsey Gustafson led the Britons with seven kills and two block assists. Lauren Outwater, Marie Pregenzer and Stephanie Thurner collected five kills apiece.

Kenyon defeated Albion 25-9, 25-15, 23-25, 25-20

Kenyon served up 12 aces and had three players reach double figures in kills.

For Albion, Thurner produced seven kills and three blocks, Outwater had seven kills and 18 digs and Haven Hill contributed six kills.

The second day of the Kenyon College Invitational has Albion taking the court against Franklin (Ind.) College and Earlham (Ind.) College.
