ALBION, Mich. – Bobby McCaw scored three goals and Hunter Olson added a pair as Calvin College, ranked second in the latest NCAA Division III poll, turned back Albion College, 5-0, on the final night of the first round of Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association men's soccer action.

Albion tried to target Aaron Smit and Will Colborn with long passes from the defense, but the Britons were unable to mount a sustained attack. Dakota Clapper sent a header over the end line in the second half for the Britons only shot.

Maximilian Loria, Albion's first-year goalkeeper, finished with six saves.

Albion, 4-5-2 overall and 1-5-1 against MIAA rivals, hosts Alma College at 11 a.m. Saturday to begin the second round of league play.
