Kinachtchouk Pulls Out Match For Albion

ALBION, Mich. – Nick Kinachtchouk pulled out a tiebreaker to decide the No. 5 singles match to lift Albion College to a 5-4 victory over Otterbein (Ohio) University in a non-league men's tennis match.

Kinachtchouk split sets with Juan Vera (4-6, 6-3), and he got the win for his team by edging his opponent, 10-7, in the tiebreaker.

Albion only needed to split the singles matches after winning two of the three doubles contests. Kinachtchouk and Zach McKenzie were 8-6 winners at No. 1, and Robert Joerg and Josh McGarry were 8-4 winners at No. 3.

McGarry and McKenzie also won their singles matches in straight sets for the Britons.

Albion has a home match against Concordia University at 5 p.m. Wednesday.
