Britons Can't Break Through

ALBION, Mich. - There were a couple of points for the taking inside the Ungrodt Tennis Center Tuesday afternoon, but Albion College could not capture any momentum in taking a 9-0 loss to local rival Spring Arbor University.

Robert Joerg and Josh McGarry, Albion's No. 2 doubles team, walked off the court knowing it didn't take advantage of some opportunities in an 8-6 loss.

In singles, McGarry captured the first set of the No. 2 singles match against Alex Reinbold. Reinbold bounced back, 6-1, in the second set and won the tiebreaker to decide the match, 10-1.

At No. 1 singles, Zach McKenzie was dropped in two close sets, 6-4 and 7-5, by Nick Romano.

Albion will travel to Hilton Head Island, S.C., for its spring break matches. The action begins with a Sunday match against Heidelberg (Ohio) University.
