HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. - Albion College won five of the six singles matches in straight sets to earn a 7-2 victory over Heidelberg University in non-league men's tennis action.

Josh McGarry (6-1, 6-3), Robert Joerg (6-2, 6-1), Israel Trevino (6-2, 6-1), Nick Kinachtchouk (6-1, 6-0) and Toma Shngoo (6-0, 6-0) were Albion's singles winners.

Two of the doubles matches went down to the wire, and the teams split the contests. Joerg and McGarry pulled out a tiebreaker, 7-2, to win the No. 2 doubles match.

Trevino and Shngoo were 8-2 winners at No. 3 doubles.

Albion returns to the court in Hilton Head Island on Tuesday for a match against Wilkes (Pa.) University.
