HILTON HEAD, S.C. – Albion College clinched victory in its men's tennis match with Defiance (Ohio) College before the final three singles flights were completed.

Robert Joerg and Israel Trevino combined for an impressive 8-0 victory in the second flight of doubles and they won their respective singles matches in straight sets as the Britons finished off a 7-2 victory over the Yellow Jackets.

Josh McGarry and Nick Kinachtchouk, 8-4 winners for Albion at No. 1 doubles, also won their singles matches. McGarry was a 6-1, 6-0 winner at No. 1 singles, and Kinachtchouk scored a 6-3, 6-1 victory at No. 4 singles.

Patrick Barclay rallied from a set down to win at No. 5 singles.

Albion, now 4-6 on the season, completes its series of spring break matches against Penn State University-Behrend on Thursday.
