Box Score ALBION, Mich. - Seniors Evelyn Wischmeyer, Emily Bernas, and Junior Rain Hinton lead the charge against Alma to earn their sixth Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association victory of the season. The three veterans accounted for a combined 52 points as the Britons defeated the Scots by a final score of 72 to 47.
"We definitely had better effort and were healthier than the 1st time we played them," Head Coach Doreen Carden said. "We shot well from three-point range and were able to dominate the boards."
Albion pulled in 35 rebounds to the Scots 14 and added 35 points in the paint. The Britons led for the entire 60 minutes and showed no signs of slowing down as their largest lead of 28 came with just 36 seconds left in regulation
A 17 point performance by Rain Hinton now puts her just 17 points away from 1,000 for her career.

Joe and Julie Serra have given a $5 million leadership gift to launch a fundraising initiative to make two dreams a reality at Albion College. The first is a newly expanded fitness and student activity facility at the site of the current Dow Recreation and Wellness Center. The second is a new or renovated competition facility for the volleyball, men's basketball and women's basketball teams that currently call Kresge Gymnasium home.
