ALMA, Mich. -- A seven-game win streak was snapped on Saturday afternoon, as the Albion College women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision at the hands of Alma College. The Scots hand the Britons their first MIAA loss, as Albion moves to 7-2, 2-1 this season.
After a scoreless first half, the Scots got on the board 39 seconds into the new half. Alma doubled its lead with a goal in the 66th minute.
Albion outshot the Scots and held the edge on corner kicks, but could not get on the scoreboard.
Romee Natschke made four saves in the match.
The Brits return home on Tuesday for a 7 p.m. contest against Hope College. It will serve as Domestic Violence Awareness Night, where donations will be taken for S.A.F.E. Place Battle Creek.
