ALBION -- Despite a valiant effort, the Albion College men's basketball team found itself on the wrong end of an 86-75 decision against UW-Stout. The Blue Devils remain perfect on the young season, improving to 3-0.
Cortez Garland led Albion with 26 points.
MJ Barnes totaled 15 points, as
Justin McAbee finished a rebound shy of a double-double with 15 points and nine boards.
Jonathan Armstead-Wilkerson dished out four assists and scored 10 points.Â
Wisconsin-Stout held a 43-32 lead at the break, and the Britons could not cut into the deficit. The visitors jumped ahead early, but every rally Albion put together was stifled at the other end by the visitors.Â
The Blue Devils turned 18 Albion turnovers into 21 points. Albion struggled from the foul line, sinking just 68 percent of its attempts.Â
Albion will travel to Geneva College on Friday for a two-day event. The Brits will play Grove City at 5:30 p.m.
