ALBION, Mich. -- In the Albion College men's tennis team's 2021 debut, the Britons fell to Spring Arbor University 6-3. Albion swept the doubles matches before SAU took all six singles matches.
At first doubles, Daniel McGarry and Michael Polizzi took the match, 8-4. Winning by the same margin, Darke Malcolm and Brett Gurzell took the second doubles match. At third doubles Matthew Czarnecki and Cecil Burkhart defeated their opponents, 8-5.
Malcolm narrowly missed a win at fourth singles, fallin 7-6(4) and 6-1. Spring Arbor won all six singles matches to seal the team victory.
