ALBION -- In their season finale, the Albion College men's tennis team lost a close 5-4 match against Alma College. The Britons battled the Scots in a number of tight matches throughout the day.

Albion got a win at third doubles from Matthew Czarnecki and Cecil Burkhart. The pair gritted out a tough 8-6 victory.

At first singles, Brett Gurzell narrowly lost, falling 5-7, 6-2, 4-6. Daniel McGarry picked up a win at second singles, 6-3, 6-4.

At third singles, Burkart fell in a tiebreaker, 7-6 (5), 7-6 (6). Drake Malcolm earned a big win at fourth singles, defeating his opponent, 3-6, 6-2, 6-2. Closing out the day was a 6-0, 6-1 win at sixth singles from Czarnecki.
