HIRAM, Ohio -- Two first half goals propelled the Albion College women's soccer team to a 2-0- win over Hiram College on Saturday afternoon. The Britons are now winners of three straight, improving to 3-1 overall.
Freshman
Mia Crawford opened the scoring with her first collegiate goal. Crawford found the back of the net off a feed from
Avery Campbell in the 21st minute, pushing the visitors in front.
Doubling the lead in the 32nd minute was
Megan Piontkowsky, giving Albion a little breathing room heading into the second half.
Junior goalkeeper
Romee Natschke made four saves in the clean sheet.
The Brits controlled the pace of the match, outshooting Hiram, 20-8 while having seven more corner attempts.
Albion will have a brief hiatus before returning to action on Sep. 22 at Franklin. Game time is slated for 7 p.m.
