Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Tough luck for women's soccer at Kalamazoo

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — The scoreless drought continues for the Albion College women's soccer team, falling 1-0 to Kalamazoo College. Albion dominated possession for a majority of the game, but could not find the back of the net for the third straight contest.

In the 66th minute, the hosts broke the scoreless tie with a beautiful shot that was set up by a corner.

Late in the game, Rayna Edwards had a terrific look at the equalizer, but the ball narrowly went wide to keep the game at 1-0.

With five minutes to play, the Britons were awarded a penalty kick. Despite beating the keeper, the shot hit the crossbar, unable to knot the game up at one.

Alex Hays totaled three saves.

The Britons move to 3-2-3 overall, 0-1 to open up conference action.

On Tuesday, Albion heads to Olivet for a 4 p.m. contest against the Comets.
