Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Women's soccer is No. 5 seed for MIAA Tournament

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Taking on No. 11 Calvin University, the Albion College women's soccer team dropped the final game of the regular season, 2-0 to the Knights. Albion will be the No. 5 seed in Saturday's MIAA Tournament. 

Calvin scored less than five minutes into the match. The initial shot was blocked, but goalkeeper Becca Ross dove to her right. The blocked shot bounced right back to a Calvin player and shot it to the opposite side of the goal for an early lead. 

In the 45th minute, the Knights tacked on their second goal off a free kick. The two goal lead would be enough for the hosts.

Albion concludes the regular season with a 7-4-4 record. The Britons had two looks in the second half but were unable to capitalize. Ross tallied six saves. 

The Britons will travel to No. 4 seed Adrian on Saturday. A kickoff time is still TBD, but will be posted as soon as it becomes available.
