Volleyball falls to Calvin in MIAA Finals

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – On Saturday, the Albion College volleyball team saw its MIAA Tournament run come to a close, falling 3-0 to No. 3 nationally ranked Calvin University. Despite the loss, an NCAA postseason berth is a possibility, as 20 at-large bids are up for grabs. The field will be announced Monday at 1 p.m.

Calvin attacked at a .345 mark for the match. The Knights rolled out to a hot start and never looked back in each of the three sets. The hosts were able to silence Albion momentum to earn the conference's AQ.

Middles Chloe Webber and Jesse Hepner led the offense with eight and seven kills, respectively. Mariah Brenz dished out 24 assists for the Brits. The junior also racked up 10 digs – a team-high.

Webber had five total blocks in the loss.

The Britons fall to 25-6 overall – by far their best season in program history.
