Thomas goes off for 25 in win at Adrian

ADRIAN, Mich. – Ken Thomas was absolutely unstoppable as the Albion College men's basketball team throttled Adrian College, 87-60 on Wednesday night. The junior scored 25 points, going 10-19 from the floor, while collecting 13 rebounds. 

Three other Brits finished in double figures – Devin Holmes (14), Cortez Garland (12) and Jonathan Armstead-Wilkerson (10). Holmes and Justin McAbee cleaned up on the glass as well, adding eight and seven rebounds, respectively. 

Vaulted by an and-one from Armstead-Wilkerson, the Britons built a 12-3 lead just five minutes into the game. Despite Adrian working to chip away, Albion maintained a double-digit lead for a majority of the period. 

A late Bulldog bucket cut the lead to nine, but Albion still held a 34-25 lead at the break.

In the second half, the Britons dominated completely, extending their lead early on and never looking back. 

Albion outrebounded the Bulldogs, 51-30. Additionally, the Britons tok care of the ball, committing just eight turnovers in the game.

Backed by Thomas, Albion got 39 points from its bench and 54 points in the paint.

With just three games left in the regular season, the Britons move to 12-10, 8-3 in the MIAA.  

On Saturday, Albion will host Alma for Senior Day. The Senior Day festivities will take place prior to the game. Tip off is slated for 3 p.m.
