Men's tennis falls to Spring Arbor

ALBION – After holding a lead after doubles, the Albion College men's tennis team dropped a 6-3 match to Spring Arbor University on Tuesday afternoon. The match is the final one the Brits will play in Michigan before heading down to Hilton Head for spring break.

At first doubles, Brett Gurzell and Drake Malcolm handily defeated their opponents, 8-2. The Brits then went on to take an 8-4 win at second doubles, thanks to Patrick Smoker and Danny McGarry. Albion wrapped up doubles play with an 8i-4 win from Cecil Burkhart and Michael Polizzi.

The Cougars went on to win the singles matches, taking the match, 6-3.

Albion will return to the courts in Hilton Head on Sunday.
