Game Recap: Men's Lacrosse | | Jenna Schienke

MLAX falters on the road

LEXINGTON, KY- Despite a first quarter lead the Albion College men's lacrosse team fell to Transylvania 16-11. Albion was outscored in the second and third quarters and their fight back in the fourth quarter just wasn't enough to complete the comeback.

Senior Jace Conley led the Brits with six goals followed by Timmy Salinas and Ethan Rottell, who both registered three points apiece for the Brits.

The Britons started out strong in the first quarter with two goals by Conley and one by Salinas while only allowing one Transylvania goal. The Britons stayed on offense the majority of the first quarter, but Transylvania retaliated in the second.

Transylvania found the majority of their goals in the second and third quarters out scoring the Brits 14-4.

The Brits regained their flow in the fourth quarter with three Conley goals. Brock Yabs also added a goal with 3:27 left to play, but this was not enough for the Britons.

The Britons struggled from the X going 13-31 while also committing 17 turnovers in the game.

Freshman goalie Jack Erickson had nine saves in the game. Albion wraps up non conference action 7-3.

The Britons return to their home field this Friday for their first conference game of the season against Calvin at 7 pm.
